In the 21st Century, should Nazi propaganda films still be banned?

Propaganda is the main culprit of the expanse and success of the Nazi Regime in the 1930’s and 40’s Germany. They engulfed the country in speeches, news and ideas that spread the message of Nazi ideas. The messages that Germany is supreme and will be able to control all of the weak. They spread the me

ssages of Jewish people to be inhumane. They spread the message that war was the only way to purify the German people and population. Although these messages are hateful, revoking their ban could open up a key opportunity to learn from the past’s mistakes, and unlock a history that was so well deceived by the Nazi’s.

Take for example, the fact that the Nazi’s were able to create a cover up so deceiving they made a Jewish Ghetto look like a nice place to live. Imagine the key ideas and hatred we would be able to tap into if these films could be viewed. To clarify, I think these films should be available to view, however I don’t believe they should be broadcasted. But, the best way to prevent history from repeating itself is to educate, and be able to pick out early signs. Though wounds from the Holocaust still remain, and Germany looks to protect it’s identity, these films are a piece of history. When viewed as such, they serve a great opportunity to educate but also to remember, and in turn, prevent.
